Discovering Our Spiritual Gifts |
| So many people today wonder why the church has suffered such a decline. God says in Haggai that it is because there has been a
focus on building up our own homes while His house lays in ruins. But no more. It is time for spiritual renewal. God is calling us to
rebuild His temple, and He has equipped His believers for this task.
In Chronicles 29, we learn that King David gave Solomon gifts for building temple. Likewise, we too have been given gifts to rebuild God's temple in the 21st Century - to build up the Body of Christ. Spiritual gifts have been given to every believer for the good of the entire church. (1 Corinthians 12:7) God has equipped us with these gifts so that we are prepared for the work He is calling us to do to build up the Body and rebuild His church. (Ephesians 4:12) If we embrace these gifts and use them to serve others, then God will be glorified through all we do as we spread the love and knowledge Christ our Savior. (1 Peter 4:10-11) The biggest obstacle to using our gifts is knowing and understanding the gifts we have been given. There are many books on the market to help with discovering your Spiritual gifts. The work ahead of us is enormous, for we are not constructing a building, but we are building up the Body. (1 Chronicles 29:1b) So let us not be afraid or discouraged. Let us dicover these gifts that we have been given, and get on with rebuilding the Temple. (Zechariah 8:13b) |
